All By Myself

This morning I did 2.4 miles in 40 minutes. Outdoors. FELT SOOOOO GOOD!! My hours at worked have changed starting today which allows me to get up at 7am and walk before Jason has to leave for work at 7:45. This week will be dedicated too keeping the miles but working on time. Next week I hope to increase it to 3 miles, though its hard where I live as there isn't any good walking routes I can take that are safe and would still get me home in a quick manner if Jason needs me. This is what I did this morning, what did you do?

  1. I walked Jaelyn to school and then kept going. I have no idea how far I went, I'd guess between 2-3 miles. My goal is to get moving everyday. Dan and I have started swimming on Tuesdays during his lunch break. Now that's a good work-out. I was so sore last week afterwards.

  2. I hit the gym at night after the babe and husband are tucked away.

  3. Kelly-I wish I could go swimming, but there isn't a place near our house that has a pool. I miss it terribly. I use to live in the water as a kid. Feels weird I barely get to go once a year, if that.

Trisha-Good for you being able to go to the gym at night. Sadly, there isn't one close by my house I could go too. And by 5pm I am beat. With supper right after work, then baths and bedtime at 7pm. I am ready to hit the hay myself. I am "early" bird for sure.

  4. Kiley, kudos to you for working in the workout.

On Monday, I went to the gym. I did 30ish minutes of cardio ( steep incline on the treadmill at a brisk pace) and then did a 30 minute upper body and ab workout with the trainer. She kicks my bum. I found that I wasn't really pushing it enough and was kind of doing the same thing everyday. So she is teaching us a bunch of new exercises and I love it! Monday during the day-hill walking with the stroller and lunges at the playground and monday night yoga!

  5. I ended up not going today :-( My shoes were just not appropriate for the amount of walking I was doing. So a trip to Target is in need sometime in my busy schedule today. Number one on my list of to do's! But I am still getting a good workout everyday. Between the heavy yard work I am doing, the constant cleaning, lifting and basically keeping my house from falling apart. I barely have time to sit down. It feels good to keep moving. But man, does my body hurt by the end of the day. Tanya, I was looking into joining a gym and getting a personal trainer. But there isn't a gym close by. Bummer!!
