Ezme 3 weeks old

Nothing new to report. I think the weight department is better, as she is gaining steadily and growing out of her clothes. She went to the Doctors for a quick check up. 9lbs. 2oz. and 21 inches long. We are happy all around. We don't go back for a month!! Pictures, pictures. Isn't that what you really want.

Ezme is 2 weeks old

Ezme's second trip to the Pediatrician didn't bowed well today. Once again we are lacking in the weight department with just me. So I had to supplement almost from the very day I saw our Doctor last. Ugh! Anyways, Ezme is now up too 7 lbs 10 oz. So she is doing pretty good. We were hoping for a bit better, but things are what they are. I am sure when she really responds to the world, she will be just like her big sisters and big brother and eat like a moose! We will most likely be supplementing from now on. I will continue to nurse for as long as my body will allow. Such a bummer feeling, but I knew it would happen. I haven't been able to for any of my other kiddos, so I didn't expect Ezme to be any different. They are all fantastic with latching on, but my milk just never seems to come in well. We spend the week enjoying the Boston Common and even taking Ezme out Apple Picking. Busy little girl already. Here are some pictures of our outings over the last week or so. Enjoy.

Not sure what we are doing this week. Jason will be going back to work soon, Girl Scouts will start up as well and lets not forget Mr. Big Man himself will be turning 2!! Hugs for now.

Ezme's first week

Ezme is doing great so far. She had her first official Appointment with our Pediatrician today. She isn't gaining very well, and has lost a good chunk of weight since we left the hospital on Thursday. Here are her stats so far are:

Birth - 8lbs. 2oz. 20 inches

2 days old - 7lbs. 13 oz. 20 inches

6 days old - 7lbs. 7 oz. 20 1/2 inches

So far we are really doing good in the nursing department, my milk is coming in nicely and she seems satisfied after every feeding. Right now, we are lasting anywhere between 2-4 hours between each meal. We will see how things progress, but I almost can guarantee that formula is in our very near future.

Emma-James first day of Pre-School

Emma-James started Pre-School today. I was so lucky to have been able to leave the hospital so I could take her with daddy to her first day. Today marks my due date with Ezme, so it would have been sucky if I had not been able to be their for her on her special day. Its always a special time when your little one leaves the nest (so to speak). She cried for about 5 minutes after we dropped her off, but from what Miss. Cheryl had told us, she had a great time, and stopped crying after a few minutes. WAY TO GO EMMA-JAMES!! Here is my sweet monkey on her first day of school.

We were a little late, and she was a little nervous

The Gang comes to Visit

The nurse was sweet to let the kiddos come and visit their new sister while I was still in the delivery room. Usually they don't allow this, but because visiting hours end at 8pm, she felt it wouldn't be fair for them to have to wait until the next afternoon. So my gaggle came tonight. I was so happy to see them, and of course I wasn't the important person in the room. Ezme was of course on everyone's mind. And as promised, we let Emma-James hold her first. Here are some great pictures of the first few moments.

Ezme Anabella Arrives!

I am proud to announce that the newest member of the Rodrigues' clan is finally here. After a long pregnancy, full of fun, excitement, worry and chaos. Our beautiful daughter has arrived. Ezme Anabelle Martin Rodrigues arrived by induction this evening at 5:25pm. She weighed in at 8lbs 2oz and was 20" long. She is by far my biggest and tallest baby. My labor was very intense and quick. Three hours from start to finish. She came out with the most beautiful set of blue eyes, and a full set of dark brown hair. I now know why I had the worse case of heartburn ever during the last 9 months!!!

The little ones will be arriving shortly to see there new baby sister. I am sure there will be lots of love to go around. The promise was that Emma-James would be the first to get to hold her. She has been waiting very patiently for what seems like FOREVER in her world for this little one to arrive.

I feel so blessed to have these kiddos in my life. I thank God everyday for all these blessings he has given me. Even Anabelle. I am sure she too would be a proud big sister.
